If you are involved in the world of jumpers, it is likely you are familiar with the name Big Ben. Canadian rider Ian Millar purchased the Belgian Warmblood in 1984. The two had a career that spanned a decade and included over 40 Grand Prix titles, 6 Spruce Meadows derbies, back-to-back world cup wins, medals at the Pan-American Games and multiple Olympics, and is one of only two horses to be inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame. His 8-stop farewell retirement tour concluded at the Royal in 1994.
