The Royal was always elusive and ethereal experience that I chased for years. Attending first as a spectator with big dreams of riding into the ring, I remember walking through the horse barns and thinking how incredible it would be to be able to have your own horse there, and having people look up to you with the same awe I had. Years later, I would get to compete and in 2019 , I was champion of the 1.40m JR/AM division. A perfect Royal dream.
