1967

The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair has a long history with the British royals, beginning with the Royal designation which was approved by His Majesty, King George V in 1920. The Royals have come to visit many times since then, including Prince Philip's 1967 visit to officially open the Fair. Here he is seen during the opening ceremonies in a horse-drawn carriage.
