1922

William Arthur Dryden, known as Bill by his friends and family, was the founder of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. W.A. Dryden was a well respected cattleman of Shorthorn Cattle. Seen here in this photograph from the inaugural year of the Fair is a class of these bulls being judged. Although the Fair was initially slated to open in 1921, delays in building the Coliseum (interior shown here) led to a year-long postponement.
