Jane Scott, the Duchess of Dalkeith, visited the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in 1955. Prior to her marrying John Scott, Earl of Dalkeith in 1953 she worked as a model for Norman Hartnell. She was born in Shanghai. Her husband suffered from a horseback riding accident which left him paralysed from the chest down in 1971, but he remained a Member of Parliament due to Jane's support. Here she is seen with two kids born just hours earlier during her visit to the fair.
