1953

Sometime in the early 1950's, the famed Lipizzan Stallions came to visit the Royal as the headline attraction during the Royal Horse Show. The Lipizzaners, as they are also known, descend from a stud from the Habsburg monarchy, and are the only breed used at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna. The Riding School is a major tourist attraction in Vienna, and one of the great examples of classical riding techniques.
